Ruth Henderson Russell

Ruth Henderson Russell, 91, of Prince George, widow of Hobert L. Russell, Jr., passed away Thursday, August 14, 2014. Born in Jonesville, VA, she was the daughter of the late Gus and Patricia Davidson Henderson. She attended Radford State Teachers College and taught public school in Lee County and Bath County. She is survived by her son, Steven D. Russell and his wife, Brenda; daughters, Pamela Russell Stell and her husband, Lee, and Nancy Robin Russell; grandchildren, Tony Stell, Doug Russell, Felicia Burruss and her husband, Chris; great-grandchildren, Shelby Stell and Abby Burruss. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 20, at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday at St. Marks United Methodist Church with The Reverend Gretchen Nelson and The Reverend Bob Hauck officiating.
