Ruth Showalter Swineford

Ruth Showalter Swineford, 100, of Prince George, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2015. Born in Brunswick, VA she was the daughter of the late J.R. and Ethel Jones Showalter; and was also preceded in death by her husband, James T. Swineford, Sr. Mrs. Swineford is survived by her four sons, Robert S. Swineford (Gail), James T. Swineford, Jr. (Patricia Morris), William B. Swineford (Freda) and Charles E. Swineford (Cindy); five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 1pm on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 in Southlawn Memorial Park. The family is being served by the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church in Disputanta.
