Ryan Christopher Mcmanus

Ryan Christopher McManus, 23, of Winston Salem, NC, formerly of Church Road, VA, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2016. He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents, Carl and Mary Hatley; and his fraternal great-grandparents, Hazel and Jake McManus. Ryan graduated from Robert B. Glenn High School in Kernersville, NC. He received a certificate from Rowanty Technical Center where he completed Firefighter 1 and 2. He was a member of Ford Volunteer Fire and EMS as well as Dinwiddie Volunteer Fire and EMS for 2 years. Ryan was a wonderful father, son, and brother. He is survived by his father, Christopher T. McManus; mother, Michelle G. McManus; son, Brian Christopher McManus; two sisters, Sarah McManus Anello and Christina Kay McManus; grandparents, Linda and Larry Stancil, J.W. McManus, and Ralph and Faye Green. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M., on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at Southlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., on Wednesday, June 1, 2016. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Dinwiddie Fire and EMS, 13910 Courthouse Rd., P.O.
