Ryan Keith Pennington

Ryan Keith Pennington, age 36, of Colonial Heights, VA, passed away on August 18, 2023. Born in New Castle, Indiana on September 9, 1986. Ryan was truly incredible man with a vibrant spirit. He was kind with a gentle heart, and he loved his family. He loved to spend time with his kids, singing silly songs, going to park, beaches, and amusement parks. He enjoyed playing his guitar and video games. His kindness, humor, and genuine compassion touched the hearts of all who knew him. Ryan's infectious laughter and warm smile will forever be etched in our hearts, and his absence leaves an immense void that can never be filled.

Ryan is survived by his mother and step-father of 28 years, Kristina Dix (Erickson) and Donald Dix of Colonial Heights, VA; his father, James Dru Pennington (wife Trish) of New Castle, IN; son, Ryland Keith Pennington of Colonial Heights, VA; daughters, Madeline Sue King, of Richmond, VA and Destiny Marie Davis of Colonial Heights, VA; sister, Whitney Marie Lewis; and nephew, Silas Ray Lewis of North Port, FL; brother, Damon Pennington of New Castle, IN; and sister, Brandi Pennington of New Castle, IN. He is also survived by his Aunt, Jeri Ann Sharp (husband Glenn); Uncle, Keith Vores (partner Cathy); and many cousins and extended family. He is proceeded in death by his grandparents, Roger and Carolyn Myers; aunts, Sharon Clarkson and Jerie Taylor; cousins, Andrew Neal and Lacey Vores.

Services will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home - Chester Chapel, 3050 W. Hundred Road Chester VA. Viewing hour starts at 2:00 p.m., with the service at 3:00 p.m.
