S. Alan Harrison

S. Alan Harrison, 61, of Hopewell, VA passed away on April 14, 2018. Born in Fort Myers, FL he was the son of the late Roy and Peggy Marshall; and was also preceded in death by a nephew, Jonathan Morris. Mr. Harrison was retired from Honeywell after 35 years of service. Alan had a love for sports and was a fan of Virginia Tech, the Oakland Raiders and the Atlanta Braves. Alan was also an avid fisherman. He is survived by his three children, Shayden Johnson, Whitney Harrison and John Harrison; two step-daughters, Shannon Marshall and Lyndsay Kuykendall; seven grandchildren, Trey, Ayden, Malik, Rihanna, Raylynn, Malina and Wendell; three sisters, Beverly Morris, Holly Woolridge and Patricia Helms and husband, Glen; two nieces, Kelley Nevermore and Erin Helms; and two nephews, Ryan Woolridge and Eric Morris. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at the Hopewell Chapel J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will be private.
