Samuel Jr. Cofer

Samuel Rea Cofer, Jr., age 66, of Prince George, VA, died on Monday, September 5, 2011. He was born in Suffolk, VA, the son of the late Samuel Rea, Sr. and Madeline Bell Cofer. Mr. Cofer was a retired tractor trailer driver working with U. S. F. Red Star Express. He is survived by his wife, Betty Jeanne Cofer; sons, Samuel R. Cofer, III, James E. Cofer and wife, Kimberly, and Jackson E. Cofer and wife, Pamela; a grandson, Timothy J. Cofer; and other family and friends. A visitation will be held at the Hopewell chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. A service will follow on Thursday, September 8, at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
