Samuel Meese

Samuel Prinkey Murray Meese, age 92, of Chester, VA, died on Saturday, May 31, 2008. He was born in Brownsville, PA, the son of the late Solomon and Anna Murray Meese. Mr. Meese was also preceded in death by his wife, Lelia Dils Meese, and sisters, Sarah Skillcorn and Elsie Roberts. He was a retired engineer from Allied Chemical after 48 years of service. Mr. Meese enjoyed watching things being built, especially those constructed from brick or concrete, and he liked to fish at the Cape Hatteras area of North Carolina. He is survived by two sons, William S. Meese and C. Richard Meese; three granddaughters, Samantha Berrong, Susan Perrotto, and Sally Terry; a grandson, Randy Meese; two great-granddaughters, one great-grandson; and brothers, Solomon C. Meese, George A. Meese, James R. Meese, Archie L. Meese, and Robert A. Meese. The family will receive friends at the J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home of Chesterfield on Tuesday, June 3, 2008 from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will follow there on Wednesday at 10 a.m. with interment in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester.
