Samuel Thomas Wicker Sr.

Samuel Thomas Wicker Sr., 98 of Hopewell, passed away on Friday March 3, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles W. and Elva Draper Wicker; wife, Lillie Wicker; three sisters; four brothers. Samuel served his country proudly in the Army Air Corps during WW II. He retired from Allied Chemical after 32 years of service. Samuel was a fishing extraordinaire, civic volunteer, little league Basketball coach, and had a passion for gardening. He was a loving, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and great-great grandfather. Samuel is survived by his son, Samuel Tom Wicker Jr. and his wife, Cookie; grandchildren, Rhonda Zazzaretti and her husband, Mike, Richard Lynch and his wife, Shannon, Wendy Lynch; great-grandchildren, Russell, Tuesday, Kurt, Joseph, Jesse, Victoria; great-great-grandchildren, Helen, Myer; sister in law, Myrna Wicker; special niece, Carole Everts and her husband, Gary; and several other nieces, nephews and other family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm on Thursday March 9, 2017at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home Hopewell Chapel.
