Sandra Koogler Barrett

Sandra Koogler Barrett, 70, of North Chesterfield, VA passed away on Thursday, April 26, 2018. Born in Roanoke, VA she was the daughter of the late Jack Hall and Alice Hutchins Koogler; and was also preceded in death by her husband, David S. Barrett. Sandra had retired from MCV after 25 plus years of service in the Cancer Research Department. She enjoyed traveling to and spending time in Ireland with her husband, David. Mrs. Barrett is survived by her brother, Mike Koogler and wife, Kelly; one nephew, Travis Koogler and wife, Jessica; aunts and uncles, William Koogler, Doris and Jackie Lancaster, Delois Koogler and Emma Hutchins; and numerous cousins. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, VA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Massey Cancer Center in memory of Sandra Barrett.
