Sandra Vaughan Gentili

Sandra Vaughan Gentili, 77, of Chesterfield, VA, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, May 3, 2023. Born in New Bern, NC, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Goldie Prevost; and was also preceded in death by three brothers, Bailey Prevost, Terry Prevost, and Vince Melaragno; and two grandsons, Todd Skelton and Chad Skelton. Mrs. Gentili had retired from Honeywell as a Laboratory Technician after many years of dedicated service. She enjoyed being a homemaker, playing games, entertaining and cooking for her family and friends, as well as caring for her cats. Sandra is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Robert Gentili; three children, Rhonda Pritchard, Edward West, and Robin Satterwhite; four grandchildren, Nicole Shearin, Amanda Pritchard, Brandy Skelton, and Chase Satterwhite; four great-grandchildren, Mariah, Erica, Mya, and Ryder; eight siblings, Hazel Pitts, Edna Burch, Adrienne Wood (Buddy), Emily Dyer (Audean), Sally Ernst (Charles), Sam Melaragno (Luann), Tony Melaragno (Karen), and Michelle Benham (David); and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Plans for a funeral service and interment in New Bern, NC will be announced in the coming days.
