Sandra Gardner Greaves

Sandra Gardner Greaves 82, of Disputanta, VA died April 24, 2021. Born in Jeannette PA, she was the daughter of Clarence H. and Arvetta Gardner. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who spent time volunteering in the support of others within her church family. She was a 1960 graduate of the Indiana University of Pennsylvania, majoring in Elementary Education. In addition to raising her family, she taught school in Pennsylvania, Germany, and Prince George, VA. After retiring, she and her husband, John, became active in organizing and nurturing Grace Coastal Church in Bluffton, SC. There she was able to share her love of people and her Savior. Blessed with her gift of hospitality, she gave to others as they grew in the Lord. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, John D. Greaves, III; sons, John D. IV and wife, Lenoir, Robert G. and wife, Mariea; Arturo Johnson and wife, Carla; and daughter, Laura (Missy) and husband, Jeffrey Smith; ten grandchildren, Matthew, James, Christopher, Marc, Samantha, Taylor, Alexsandra, Aurto, Emilio, and Alex; great-grandchildren, Aston, Wiley, Orion, Thyme, Jonathon, and Emily. The family will greet friends at 10:00AM Thursday, April 29, 2021 with a Celebration of Life to follow at 11:00AM at the Oakland Baptist Church, 12601 Prince George Drive, Disputanta, VA.
