Sandra Kay Hamilton, 57, of Hopewell died Friday, December 1, 2006 in Medical College of Virginia Hospital in Richmond. She was born in Bath, New York and had been a long time resident of the Hopewell area. Mrs. Hamilton was a member of the First Congregational Christian Church and part owner of Hopewell Office Supply. She was preceded in death by her father, Jim Thompson. Mrs. Hamilton is survived by her husband, Kenneth Carl Hamilton of Hopewell, two sons, James Lawrence Hamilton, and Kenneth Carl Hamilton, Jr., both of Hopewell, two daughters, Kimberly Dawn Hamilton of Chester, Danielle Marie Hamilton of Hopewell, three grandchildren, James L. Hamilton, Jr. of Hopewell, Christian Hamilton and Jacob Hamilton, both of Dinwiddie, her mother Katherine S. Thompson of Browns Mills, NJ and a sister, Candace Rady of Port Hudson, FL. The family will receive friends Sunday, December 3, 2006 from 7:00 to 8:30 PM in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A funeral service will be held Monday, December 4, 2006 at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Bruce Catron, pastor and Rev. Cecil Smith, former pastor of First Congregation Christian Church officiating. Interment will be in Bermuda Memorial Park, Chesterfield County.
