Sandra Ann Hawkins

Sandra Ann Hawkins, 75, of North Dinwiddie, VA, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2022. Born in Petersburg, VA, she was the daughter of the late Wilma Bass and James Brown; and was also preceded in death by her three sisters, Trynis Ashby, Alice Brown and Delores Kitchen. Mrs. Hawkins was a member of Oaklawn Baptist Church in Chesterfield, VA. She is survived by her three children, Elizabeth Carolyn Belcher Hawkins and her husband, J.R., Richard E. Belcher, Jr. and his wife, Ardna, and Jackie Raymond Hawkins and his wife, Amy; three grandchildren, Ardna Nicole Desbrow and her husband, Wesley, Amelia Belcher, and Logan Hawkins; one niece, Doris Droddy and her husband, Robert; a nephew, Bubba Ashby; and her long time friend, Diane Hope. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, with the Rev. Wayne Williams officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Catholic Church Cemetery, Petersburg, VA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
