Sandra Rena Mitchell

Sandra Rena Mitchell, 60, died on May 27, 2024. She was born to Jim and Tammy Helms in Okinawa, Japan, and raised in Prince George. She is preceded in death by her brother, Randy Helms. Sandra followed in her father's footsteps and joined the United States Air Force, dutifully serving her country for years. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and caring grandmother to her family. She could often by found with her beloved doggies, bird watching, journal writing, or praising the Lord. She is survived by her adoring husband of 40 years, Walter Mitchell; her daughter, Roxanne Bennett; her son, Nick Mitchell (Jennifer Thomas); her grandchildren, Cadence, Kelsey, and Derek Bennett; her parents; her sisters, Sherry Helms and Kathy Kinsey; her doggies, Beasley and Georgie; several nephews and a niece. A visitation will be on Sunday, June 2, 2024, from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm, at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 3, 2024, at 2 P.M., at Merchants Hope Memorial Garden.
