Sarah Scarborough Harvell

Sarah Scarborough Harvell, 84, of Petersburg, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2015. A lifelong resident of Petersburg, she was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Clifton and Maggie Worrell Scarborough, her husband, Lorenzo Byrd Harvell, and an aunt and uncle who raised her, Pearl and Sam Williamson. She was a loving mother and a member of Second Presbyterian Church. She is survived by a daughter, Martha Harvell Thompson; son, William Clifton Harvell; sisters, Viola Rebick and Loretta Prestridge, and a devoted friend, Sarah Diana Hollars. A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Second Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Second Presbyterian Church, 419 W.
