Saxon Dunnavant

Saxon L. Dunnavant, 88 of Church Road, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at her residence. She was a native of Petersburg, and was predeceased by her husband Floyd C. Dunnavant, parents Robert Claude and Helen Browder Lemon and sister Helen Pina. She is survived by two daughters, Frances A. Miles and husband, George of Dewitt and Robyn D. Emory and husband, Clyde of Church Road; three sons, Frank A. Alexy and wife, Doris of Church Road, Dwight S. Alexy and wife, Joan, and David C. Dunnavant and wife, Bonnie all of Chesterfield; fifteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; sister, Joan Maitland and husband, Macy of Colonial Heights; numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be conducted 1:00 pm Monday, December 28, 2009 at Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Guy Murdock officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Sunday at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
