Scott Calhoun

Scott Edward Calhoun, 41, of Hopewell, VA passed away on Friday, September 21, 2007. He was born in Parkersburg, WV the son of the late Emmitt and Frances Hearter Calhoun. Scott had a lot of friends, and he enjoyed spending time with them. Even though life had dealt him a disability at birth, he was very independent and strong willed. He also enjoyed young children and was very patient and kind with them as well. He is survived by four siblings, Emmitt J. Calhoun and wife, Sindy of Chesterfield, VA, Carl A. Calhoun and wife Sherry of Dinwiddie, VA, Linda Calhoun Miles and husband, Stanley of Hopewell, and Ronnie E. Calhoun and fiancé, Karen Clark of Hopewell; half sisters, Debbie Calhoun of CT, Silvia Lancey of FL, and Ollie Calhoun of Chesterfield; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Hopewell on Monday, September 24, 2007 from 6 to 8 p.m. A graveside service will follow on Tuesday, 10 a.m. in the Appomattox Cemetery, Hopewell. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions are made to the Childrenâ??s Hospital at 2924 Brook Rd. Richmond, VA 23220.
