Scott Rowe Taylor

Scott Rowe Taylor, 76, of Chester, VA, passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2023. Born in Richmond, VA, he was the son of the late Herbert Dalton and Mary Frances Rowe Taylor. Mr. Taylor had retired from Dominion Power after 39 years of dedicated service. Scott was an avid hunter and fisherman, and was also a dedicated member of Life Church. He will be remembered by his family as a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Mr. Taylor is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Jo Ann Taylor; four children, Lorrie Lynn Taylor, Deborah Taylor Jones, Chip Cheatham and wife, Julie, and Mary E. Thorne and husband, Terrence; and his four adored grandchildren, Madeline, Ana, Tamara, and Abigail. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, 13770 Noel Road, Suite 801889, Dallas, TX 75380 in memory of Scott Taylor.
