Shakuriez Tobias Flory

Shakuriez "Scoop" Tobias Flory, 25, of Chester, VA, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2024. Scoop was preceded in death by a sister, Emilee Johnson-Sale; grandmother, Virginia Walker; a grandfather, James Bowers; and two great-grandmothers, Velma Flory and Shirley Ross. He is survived by his precious daughter, Ember Lynnette Nyckole Flory; the love of his life, Destinee Nyckole Armbruster; his mom and dad, Robyn and Eric Johnson-Sale; father, Courtney Ross; five siblings, Adryant, Tailor, Amylee, Cherrish, and Holden Johnson-Sale; grandparents, Sonja Ross; great-grandfather, Charles Flory; one great-grandmother, Connie Bowers; uncle, Chris "Topher" Thompson III; and numerous other aunts, uncles, siblings, cousins, and friends.

Scoop was a father first and foremost, a son, a brother, and so much more. He left a lasting impression on everyone he met, and I am sure everyone has a story to tell. He had a deep love for the outdoors from a very young age, he engaged in just about every outdoors sport. He spent many days fishing with his Grandma. He recently found a new passion for guns and had been participating in skeet shooting with his friends.

After attending Thomas Dale he followed his lifelong passion for automotives. As a child he wasn't interested in action figures, cartoon, it was always some form of vehicle. He had a love for all. From there he went on to be the one working on trucks with Sweetie Boys for several years with his Uncle. Leading him to his recent employment with Truck Enterprise Kenworth, as diesel technician. He was fascinated and proud of his work. Scoop brought life to every room he was in. It didn't matter who you were or what you were going through he'd bring a smile to your face. A mark will be left on every heart that he's touched, this is a loss that will never be forgotten.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., on Friday, May 10, 2024, at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held at the Chesterfield Moose Lodge following the viewing.
