Sharon Marie Amos

Sharon Marie Amos, 62, of Hopewell, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2022. Born in Petersburg, VA, she was the daughter of the late Robert Matthews and Marjorie Grissom Matthews. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth Dean Amos; and siblings, Kenneth Mathews, Dennis Matthews, and Sherry Matthews.
Sharon enjoyed supporting youth athletics. She and her husband ran the Hopewell Quarterback League for many years together. Most of all, her greatest passion was her family. Her children and grandchildren were her number one priority, and she loved them dearly.
She is survived by her children, Kenneth Dean Amos, Jr. (Kathy), Jason Earl Amos (Courtney), Travis Wayne Amos (Dana), and Kimberly Dawn Amos; grandchildren, Kayli Marie Amos, Alexis Marie Amos, Ryan Amos, Alison Rae Amos, and Karter Dean Amos; great-grandchildren, Marianna Amos and K'ahri Amos; sister, Debbie Hale; and added family, Jerry Studer, Skyler Stewart and Troy Vohun.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 14, 2022 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com .
