Sharon Irby

Sharon Thompson Irby, age 50, of Chester, VA, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2011, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her father, David Thompson, and brother, Scott Thompson. Mrs. Irby was a member of the Kingsland Baptist Church, and worked for Salem Church Elementary as a Teacherâ??s Aide for approximately 10 years. Her family was her first priority in life, and she will be greatly missed. Mrs. Irby is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Randy Irby; children, Meghan Scercy and husband, Kenneth, David Irby, and Lindsey Irby; mother, Helen W. Thompson; brothers, Ronnie Roberts and wife, Jane, Donnie Roberts and wife, Kathy, Mike Roberts and wife, Donna; and father-in-law, Reavy L. Irby. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 29, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Chesterfield chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 30, 2011 at 12 p.m. in the Kingsland Baptist Church, 8801 Perrymont Rd, Richmond, VA.
