Shirley Adkins

Shirley Riddle Adkins, age 71, of Carson, VA., died on November 5, 2006. She was born in Dinwiddie, VA, the daughter of the late Willie P. and Omega Parsons Riddle. Mrs. Adkins was a life-long member of Tabernacle Methodist Church in Carson. Her family and friends were a big part of her life, and meant a great deal to her. She is survived by a husband of 53 years, Percy B. Adkins; four children, Diane A. Williams and husband Ted, James B. Adkins and wife Wanda, Deborah A. Roddenberry and husband Danny, and Mark Adkins, all of Carson; four grandchildren, Danielle Randolph and husband Jim, Jessica and Amanda Adkins, and Travis Adkins. The family will receive friends at the J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Petersburg, VA on Tuesday, November 7, 2006 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Funeral services will follow there on Wednesday, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place in Tabernacle Methodist Church Cemetery, Carson, VA.
