SHIRLEY LEE CLEMENTS, 84, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2005 in a Roanoke, VA hospital. Born in Waverly, VA, he was the son of the late Mikajah Tolman Clements and Agnes Boyd Clements. He served his country in the U. S. Army during World War II, and was retired as the owner/operator of a construction company in Waverly. He was predeceased by his wife, Frances Jones Clements.
Mr. Clements is survived by his daughter, Melissa C. Glover and her husband, W. Burnet Glover, Sr., of Rockledge, FL; his brother, Cutter Clements; three grandchildren, Christina Glover, Amelia Glover, W. Burnet Glover, Jr.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services with military rites will be held Monday, August 1, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. in the Waverly Cemetery, Waverly, VA. The family will receive friends at Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, on Sunday evening, 5 until 7 p.m. Condolences may be posted at our website, www.jtmorriss.com .
