Shirley Lamm Cornett, 82, of North Dinwiddie, passed away on Monday, September 27, 2021. Born in Petersburg, VA, she was the daughter of the late Willard Waverly Lamm and Viola Lamm Vaughan. Shirley is survived by her children, Dianna Gustinis (Rick), Bubba Cornett and Daphne Williams (Matt); grandchildren, Jack Taylor, Jr., Justin Gustinis, Jessica Williamson, Chris Cornett, Daniel Cornett, Arron Cornett, Amanda Bouquet, Brian Belangia, Zack Williams, Alex Williams; great-grandchildren, Jasmine Taylor, Jordan Taylor, Jaxon Williamson, Rori Williamson, Bryce Gustinis, Taylor Cornett, Brandon Cornett, Barrett Cornett, Ryder West, Rhett Cornett, Ashland Bouquet and Hunter Bouquet; and siblings, Becky Cornett (Wayne), Jean Roberts (Charles), Janice Cerny, Willard Lamm, Jr. (Marsha) and Annette Perkinson (Jerry). Shirley was a devoted Christian and used her life to serve Jesus. Shirley worked for Honeywell where she dedicated 40 years of service. The family would like to deeply express their gratitude for the staff of Petersburg Home for Ladies, especially Laura, Teresa and Michelle, for their care and compassion shown towards Ms. Cornett. Shirley expressed that she felt loved and cherished by their staff and always felt at home during her stay. There was no other place that would have shown that level of dedication to their loved one more than Petersburg Home for Ladies. A graveside service will be held on October 4, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Rd, Petersburg, VA 23805. The family is being served by Petersburg Chapel of J.T.
