Shirley Ozmore Harrison

Shirley Ozmore Harrison, 85, of Dinwiddie passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2024. Born in Dinwiddie, VA she was the daughter of the late Spencer Calvin and Dorothy Link Ozmore; and was also preceded in death by a brother, Jeff Ozmore. Mrs. Harrison was a dedicated member of Western Heights Baptist Church. She and her husband, Dewey, were the owners and operators of Harrison's Supermarket in Dinwiddie County for many years. She is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Charles W. "Dewey" Harrison; five daughters, Cathy H. Branch (Jack), Debra H. Newcomb, Donna H. Bain, Carol H. Wicks (Johnny) and Dawn H. Sheppard (Frankie); grandchildren, Ryan L. Porter, Brent W. Harrison (CiCi), Lindsay D. Johnson (Thad), Preston "Daniel" Bain (Christina), John I. Wicks (Meagan), Chris Cornett (Jamie), Trey Sheppard (Ashley) and Josh Wicks; great-grandchildren, Ryan L. Porter, Jr., Taylor N. Cornett, Brandon T. Cornett, Kinsley M. Bain, Preston "Colby" Bain, Easton R. Harrison, Ashton T. Sheppard, Hannah G. Sheppard, Braxton G. Wicks, Macey E. Wicks, Savannah Johnson and Savannah Wicks; one great great-grandchild, Rylan Cornett; one brother, Steven C. Ozmore (JoAnn); a sister, Wendy Ozmore; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, 2024 at Western Heights Baptist Church with the Rev. Jonathan Dundalow, officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George, VA. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2024 also at Western Heights Baptist Church. The family is being served by the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
