Shirley Smith Hedgepeth, 65, of Suffolk passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 18, 2010. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester Leroy Smith and Marie Goodwin Smith and her husband, Danny Ray Hedgepeth. She was a retired nurse at Tandom Health Care in Windsor.
Shirley is survived by her daughter, Wanda Warren Russell, and her husband, Robert of Wakefield; sons, Robert Michael Warren of Williamsburg, Steven Brian Warren of Portsmouth, Jonathan Eric Warren of Smithfield, William Ray Hedgepeth of Missouri and Jason Daniel Hedgepeth of Windsor; brother, L. Ray Smith and his wife, Minnie of Suffolk and grandson, Timothy Ryan Russell of Wakefield.
A graveside service will be held at 1 pm on Friday, September 24, 2010 at Holly Lawn Cemetery in Suffolk. The Purviance Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son in Wakefield is serving the family. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com .
