Shirley Levitt

Shirley S. Levitt, 87, of Petersburg died Wednesday, October 12, 2011. She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Frances Silverman and her husband, Dr. Herbert M. Levitt. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara E. Levitt, of Richmond VA; her son, Dr. Louis E. Levitt and his wife Joan Bialek Levitt, of Potomac, MD; her granddaughter, Alexa Levitt, of New York City, NY; her grandson, Jeremy Levitt, of New York City, NY; and her brother, Jimmy Silverman, of FL. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 noon on Sunday, October 16, 2011 in Brith Achim Cemetery, Petersburg, VA. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hillel Jewish Center at the University of Virginia, 1824 University Circle Charlottesville, VA 22903.
