Shirley Ann Nelson

Shirley Ann Nelson, 67, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2013. She was a member of Greenwood Presbyterian Church in South Chesterfield, VA. Mrs. Nelson was a retired insurance agent for BB&T/G.C. Wright Insurance Services. She is preceded in death by her father, Raymond Miles; brother, Tommy Miles; and sister, Clara Nadine Daniel. Mrs. Nelson is survived by her husband, Robert Nelson Sr.; son, Robert Nelson; daughter, Cathy Trull; granddaughters, Jordyn and Peyton Trull; grandson, Preston Trull; mother, Viola Miles; sister, Arlene Peters; brother, Jimmy Miles and his wife, Hazel; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, Pat Weese, and Vonda Whirley. The family will receive friends from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 27, 2013 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 28, 2013 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Chester, VA.
