Shirley Jones Taylor

Shirley Jones Taylor, 81, of Hopewell, VA passed away on Monday, January 23, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel T. Jones Sr. and Eleanor Turner Jones; her loving husband of 63 years, Gilbert Lee Taylor Sr.; a grandson, Michael A. Pulley; sisters, Lois J. Walker, and Mildred Shaw; brothers, Daniel T. Jones, Jr., and George A. Jones. She is survived by her children, Gilbert L. Taylor, Jr. (Barbara), Debra T. Fratarcangelo (Mike), Hubert E. Taylor (Mary), and Michell T. Pulley (Allen); grandchildren, Joey Fratarcangelo, Emily Ferguson (Robert), Andrew Taylor, and Meghan Pulley; great- granddaughter, Elena R. Johnston; brother, Gordon L. Jones; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. Shirley retired from John Randolph Medical Center after many years of service; she then remained at John Randolph Medical Center as a volunteer for several years. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 29, 2017 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 820 W. Broadway Ave. Hopewell, VA 23860.
