Sr., B. Thomas

Neil Bryan Thomas, Sr., age 68, of Richmond, VA, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2011. He was born the son of the late Harry and Marie Dameron Thomas. Mr. Thomas was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a supervisor at Westvaco for 40 years. He loved fishing, hunting, gardening and making fishing lures. Mr. Thomas is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Joyce; son, Neil B. Thomas, Jr. and girlfriend Carolynne Bernard of Colorado Springs, CO; brother, Ben Thomas and wife Donna; and niece, Misty. Many thanks to all of our family and neighbors for their help as we cared for Neil at home over the last month. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 10, 2011 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Chester chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow on Monday, July 11 at 11 a.m. at Maury Cemetery, Richmond, VA. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Bellwood Baptist Church, 9138 Quinnford Boulevard, Richmond, VA 23237.
