Sr., D. Minton

Marcus Duncan Minton, Sr., 61, of Petersburg died Saturday, December 03, 2005 at his home. He was a native of Waco, TX and the son of Mildred Duncan Minton and the late Hugh Glaze Minton. Mr. Minton was a lawyer in Petersburg for 35 years. He is also survived by his wife Martha Butterworth Minton; two sons Marcus Duncan Minton, Jr. and family, and John Rives Minton; a daughter Martha Ellen Minton Heggie and family; a brother Joseph Raymond Minton; and a constant companion Harmon K. Puppy Minton. The family will receive friends Monday, December 5th from 7 to 8:30 PM at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A graveside service will be held Friday, January 20, 2006 at 3 PM at Arlington National Cemetery with full military honors.
