Sr, E. Barricks

Carlton Eugene â??Buddyâ? Barricks, Sr., 81, of Colonial Heights died Saturday, January 13, 2007. He was born in Ettrick the son of the late Gilbert and Eunice Barricks. He was a Veteran of World War II and fought in the Normandy invasion with the U.S. Navy. Mr. Barricks was a 50 year member of the American Legion in Ettrick and was a member of Swift Creek Baptist Church. He was the widower of Mary Ruth Barricks and is survived by his son Carlton Barricks, Jr and wife Brenda; sister Dorothy Worley; granddaughter Leah Barricks; grandson Carlton E. Barricks, III and wife Elizabeth; great-grandson Isaac; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 17th at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service with interment to follow in Southlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday night from 6 to 8 PM.
