Bernard E. (Hawk) Belcher, Sr., 72, of Prince George passed away at his home with his family and friends by his side. He was born in Petersburg and was the son of the late Frank and Bertha Vaughan Belcher. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and sportsman and was a fan of the Baltimore Orioles. He was a retired brick mason and a member of Oakland Baptist Church, Disputanta where he was active as an usher until his declining health. He is survived by his wife, Brenda J. Belcher; five children and their spouses, Beverly and Billy Emory, Earl and Susan Belcher, Karen and Steve Ventimiglia, Brian and Gloria Belcher and Doug and Tammy Belcher; sister, Mildred Spain; three brothers and their spouses, Gibson and Nancy Belcher, Frank and Sarah Belcher and Lawrence and Jean Belcher; nine grandchildren; one great-grandson; and also his church family especially his special nurse, (Dollbaby) Janis and special thanks to Bob and Bill. The family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Robert Livesay officiating. Burial will follow in Blandford Cemetery. Condolences may be registered at
