Sr. G. Minetree

Robert Glenn â??Bobbyâ? Minetree, Sr., 72, of Petersburg passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at Southside Regional Medical Center after a long illness. He was a life long resident of the tri-city area and a member of West End Baptist Church. Bobby worked for Pepsi Cola Bottling Company of Petersburg for 40 years. His pleasures in life included spending time with family and time at Lake Gaston where he loved fishing and boating, also his CB friends and bowling. He was preceded in death by his son Patrick D. Minetree; parents, Hugh E. and Hazel B. Minetree; sister, Doris M. Hundley; brothers, Howard E. Minetree and Ronald E. Minetree. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Marguerite Rochelle Caudle Minetree; son, Robert G. â??Bertâ? Minetree, Jr. (Juanita); daughter, Wanda N. Nordby (David); son, Timothy D. Minetree (Jane); daughter, Theresa G. Minetree; four sisters, Frances M. Stevens, Joyce M. Russell (Dan), Joan M. Hock (Jack), Nancy M. Wilkerson (Butch); special and devoted sister-in-laws, Helen T. Minetree, Bev. M. Wisner, Madeline M. Caudle; brother-in-law, Brian D. Caudle; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Friday, March 19, 2010 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, March 20, 2010 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Blandford Cemetery.
