Sr. J. "Blackie" Mosconi

Louis John "Blackie" Mosconi Sr., 83 of Chesterfield, left this world to be rejoined with his late wife Rachael on Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at Southside Regional Medical Center. He was predeceased by his parents, Lawrence Mosconi & Mary DiDonato and a son Joseph D. Mosconi. Mr. Mosconi was a native of Greenville, PA., served in the US Army during WWII, was a retired Business Agent of Ironworkers Local 28 in Richmond, VA. and a member of the VFW. He is survived by his sons: Louis John Mosconi , Jr., & wife Pamela of Dinwiddie Co, James W. Mosconi & wife, Christine of Chesterfield Co; five grandchildren, Autumn and Steven Pendlebury of Spotsylvania Co, Luigi Giovanni of Petersburg, Angela M. Higgins, Tammie Carver, and Tomarah Lynn Mosconi all of Chesterfield Co.; and five great-grand children. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday November 25, at J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home in Petersburg, funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, November 26th in the funeral home chapel with Rev. James Blankenship officiating.
