Sr. J. Hughes

Robert James Hughes, Sr., 75, from Hopewell, Va., passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph J. and Margaret Titterington Hughes; wife, Patsy Jean Narron Hughes; and daughter, Patricia H. Fouts. He served his country proudly in the US Navy during the Korean War. Robert was a police officer with the City of Hopewell for over 15 years, and was a truck driver for 20 plus years. He is survived by his sons, Robert J. Hughes, Jr. and his wife Christine, Steven Wayne Hughes and his wife Kathy, Thomas A. Hughes and his wife Kimberly: Grandchildren, Nikki Spaeth, Robby Hughes, Stephen and Jessica Hughes, Jason, Marshall, Brandon and Katherine Fouts, Jacob Hughes, Stephanie Coffey and Jonathan Hughes; Sister-In-Law, Peggy Hardin, numerous great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Sunday, May 20, 2012 at J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, Hopewell Chapel. where services will be held 1:00pm on Monday, May 21, 2012 .
