Sr., K. Barker

Robert Kelton Barker, Sr., 70, of Chester, Virginia passed away on Monday, February 2, 2009. He fought a long and valiant battle with cancer, refusing to give up. Mr. Barker was born in St. Pauls, North Carolina, son of the late Pink Kelton and Annie Watts Barker. He was employed with Williamâ??s Mail and retired after many years of service as a driver. Mr. Barker was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Betty B. Barker; sons, Robert K. Barker, Jr. and wife, Kimmy, Richard A. Barker and wife, Karen, Jeffrey C. Barker and wife, Shannon, and Joseph L. Barker; grandchildren, Marissa, Bryce, Adam, Lauren and Jordan; a brother, Anthony J. Barker and wife, Cheryl; a sister, Elizabeth B. White and husband, Nash; and many nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends at the Chesterfield chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 4, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2009 at 1 p.m. in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester.
