Sr., R. Jordan

Ernest Roy Jordan, Sr., age 75, of Chester, VA., passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2010. He was born in Richmond, VA, the son of the late Ernest Miles and Helen Creery Jordan. He was employed at Leggitt Meyers Tobacco for 17 years, and spent the rest of his working career in the utilities industry. Mr. Jordan was also an avid bowler. He is survived by his children, Ernest Roy Jordan, Jr., and wife, Donna, Melvin-Douglas Jordan, Sr., and wife Barbara, Kimberley A. Jordan, and Anthony S. Jordan; grandchildren, Brandi N. Jordan, Melvin-Douglas Jordan, Jr., and Timothy A. Jordan; a sister, Nancy J. Capehart and husband, Charles; and the love of his life, Elizabeth A. Duncan. A celebration of Mr. Jordanâ??s life will take place on Friday, August 20, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chester chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
