Wakefield VA â?? James Randolph â??Randyâ? Brittle, Sr., 63, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2009. A memorial service was held on Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Thomaston Road Church of Christ, Macon, GA with Rob Robinson officiating.
Mr. Brittle was born in Suffolk, VA to the late John Samuel and Mary Leigh Brittle. He was retired from J.C. Penneyâ??s with twenty three years of service, and was employed with Five Star Dodge. Mr. Brittle was a member of Thomaston Road Church of Christ.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Betty Hancock Brittle of Macon; son and daughter-in-law, James R. Jr. and Kim Brittle of Birmingham, AL; daughter, Allison Margaret Brittle of Nashville, TN; four grandchildren, Brittany Carole Brittle, Thomas Paxton Brittle, John Randolph (Jack) Brittle, and James Holland Brittle; and a brother, Horace Lee Brittle and his wife, Jean of Waverly, VA.
The family will receive friends at the Purviance Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home in Wakefield on Friday September 4, 2009 from 2:00 â?? 3:45 PM. Burial will follow in the Wakefield Cemetery at 4:00 PM.
Donations may be made to Middle Georgia Christian School, 5859 Thomaston Road, Macon GA 31220.
