Lloyd S. McClelland, Sr., 76, of Hopewell, died Monday, February 11, 2008 at Southside Regional Medical Center. A veteran of the US Army, he served 27 years of dedicated service with service in the Korean Conflict and Vietnam, retiring as a SFC E-7. He was a member of The Retired Enlisted Association, and AARP. He is survived by his wife, Aino E. McClelland, three sons, Lonnie G. McClelland & wife, Linda, Lloyd S. McClelland, Jr. and Terry W. McClelland; three daughters, Rebecca M. Hogue & husband, Wayne, Gwendolyn D. Smith and Cathy J. McKinley & husband, Robert; 10 grandchildren, Trina White & husband, Carly, Amber Smith, Boyd Smith, David Hogue, Doug Hogue & wife, Terrah, Lisa Hogue, Donnie Hogue & wife, Stephanie, Brittani McKinley , Robert D. McKinley , Christine McClelland; and one great grandchild, Lochlyn White. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 14, from 6-8 p.m. at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Friday, February 15, at 10 a.m. in Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens, Prince George, Virginia, with The Rev. Jeff Raymond, pastor of First Baptist Church, Hopewell, officiating.
