Sr., W. Creech

Allen Wray Creech, Sr., 63, of Hopewell died Tuesday, July 19, 2005 after a heroic 6 year battle with cancer. He was a native and life long resident of Hopewell and was preceded in death by a son, Allen W. Creech, Jr.; mother, Louis Collins Creech; and father, Jesse Braxton Creech. He is survived by his loving wife, Earlene Forehand Creech of Hopewell; his loving children, son, Michael E. Creech of Hopewell, two daughters, Melissa Creech Nugent of Dinwiddie and Kimberly Creech Barrows and her husband, Kelly of Chesterfield; three grandsons, Ryan Nugent, Cody Creech and Max Barrows; and two granddaughters, Kaitlin Abagail Creech and Megan Barrows. The family will receive friends at the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service on Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, July 23, at 10 a.m. with Chaplain Graham Patterson of Crater Community Hospice officiating. Interment will follow in Appomattox Cemetery.
