Stanley Leon Thweatt

Mr. Stanley Leon Thweatt, 67, of Chester, Virginia, passed away in his home on the afternoon of July 8, 2022, after a period of illness. Stanley was born to loving parents, Moylan Curtis Thweatt and Margaret Lillian Pendleton Thweatt, in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Following their passing, he was raised in Louisa County, Virginia, by his grandmother, Rosa L. Pendleton. After graduating from Louisa County High School, Stanley chose to serve his country by joining the United States Air Force. While in the service, he studied at St. Leo's College, majoring in psychology. During his time in the military, Stanley met his former wife, Carol E. Thweatt, and became the father of two daughters. Following his military service, Stanley became a pressman and worked in the industry for many years.

He is survived by his two daughters, Shannon B. Thweatt and Erin D. Thweatt; his aunts, Shirley Roberts, Effie (Granville) Robinson, and Ida Thweatt; as well as a host of cousins. He is also survived by his devoted companion, Faith Gibbons.

A viewing will be held at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home - Chester at 3050 W. Hundred Rd, Chester, VA 23831, on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 1 PM. Following will be a memorial service at 2 PM. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com .
