Stanley Wray

Stanley Eugene Wray, 76, of Colonial Heights, VA, passed away Monday, August 16, 2010 while visiting in Jamestown, NY. Mr. Wray was born in Petersburg, and had been a lifetime resident of the tri-city area. He was a retired instrument technician with Honeywell Corporation and also retired from the Hopewell Recreation Department. Mr. Wray was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard E. and Christine L. Wray, his wife, Emma W. Wray and a son, Brian â??Ikeâ? Wray. Mr. Wray is survived by a daughter, Robin W. Hartless and her husband Roy of Colonial Heights, a son, John R. Wray and his wife Diana of Chester, a daughter-in-law, Terri G. Wray of Colonial Heights, six grandchildren, Raven Wray (Neal), Jared Wray and wife Nikki, Christina and Ryan Hartless, Melissa Smith and husband Glen, Brian Wray (Shawna), four great grandchildren, a sister, Bernardine Vega and her husband Johnny of Richmond, a brother, Bernard Wray and his wife Bonnie of Charlottesville, and a special friend, Marilyn Chambers of Prince George.. The family will receive friends Thursday, August 19, 2010 from 7:00 to 8:30 PM in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A graveside funeral service will be held Friday, August 20, 2010 at 10:00 AM in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George, VA with the Rev. Clayton Boyd, pastor of Colonial Christian Church officiating.
