Stella M. Cox

Stella Mayrene Cox, 65, of Hopewell, passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2022. She was born in Alabama to the late Hubert Chamblee and Nivazell Jones Chamblee. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Billy Chamblee and his wife, Martha, and Ronald Chamblee.
Stella enjoyed sewing, embroidery, baking and decorating cakes. Her greatest passion in life was her family. She especially enjoyed traveling to Alabama and spending time with her family there. Stella is loved and will be greatly missed.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 37 years, Stephen Cox; children, David Robinson (Marcy), Sue Toov (Doug), Kara Partin (Bubba), and Jason Cox (Dominique); grandchildren, Justin Holmgren, Amanda Reeb (Paul), and Korey Martin (Sadie); great-grandchildren, Paul Reeb and Silas Reeb; siblings, Leon Jones (Annette), Linda Maddox, and Tim Chamblee (Beverly); a niece who was like a daughter, Faith Chamblee; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends; and two canine companions, Brodie and Mollie.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at a later date in Piedmont, Alabama. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be donated to Lupus Foundation of America, www.lupus.org .
