Stephanie Wolf

d. December 22, 2007

Stephanie Marie (Slavik) Wolf (60) of Chesterfield, Virginia (formerly Lakewood, Ohio) departed her life on earth to join our Lord on December 22, 2007. She was the beloved wife of Wesley C. Wolf for 35 years, daughter to the late Kathleen Joyce and Steven Slavik, daughter-in-law to Irene J. Wolf and the late William Wesley Wolf, sister to Richard Slavik and his wife April and sister-in-law to Michael Wolf and his wife Jan. Stephanie was a wonderful and loving Aunt to Steve, Stacy, Eric, Tammy, Kimberly and Melissa Slavik, great Aunt to Eric Brian, Brandon and Aiden Wesley Slavik and a God parent to Austin Turner and Cody and Savannah Masi. She was the niece of and received much loving support from Uncle Don and Aunt Lois Bumback and their daughters Lynda and Laura. Stephanie loved and adored her family. She also loved all of her Virginia friends: Jessie Powell, Jo Ann Schroeder, Georgene Roth, Imogene Dodd, Erma Newman (her twin), Mary Abby, Lynn Frasher, Jo Ellen Wheelhouse and many, many more. She had a very long and loving friendship with her childhood friends from Ohio: Liz Goerz, Pat Bacho, Kathy Smith, Josie Bird, and Anna Robb who came to visit her during this tough time in her life. Stephanie received loving support which helped ease her battle with cancer from many special families: the Gardners, Gilliards, Daniels, Smiths, Barnes, Walters, Goodmans, Epps and Rogers and especially from her adopted daughters and sons: Mark, Gina and Jonathon Davis and Robert and Amy Masi. She was blessed to have compassionate and unwavering medical support from Dr. Attique Samdani, Dr. Singh Sahni, Dr. Yamini Chennu, Dr. David Penberthy, Ms. Bonnie Chappelle, NP, and all of their excellent staffs and the wonderful nurses and support staff at Johnston Willis Hospital, the Infusion Center, the Virginia Cancer Institute, Bon Secours Hospice and the Kroger Pharmacy in Chester. Stephanie was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Chester, Virginia where she was given amazing faith support from Pastor Richard Finck and members of the congregation. Stephanie always found good in everyone and everything; an attribute that few possess. She spent her entire professional life caring for the aged as a geriatric Licensed Practical Nurse (most recently at Lucy Corr Village) and dedicated her personal life to caring for her family and helping all those that crossed her path. She always placed otherâ??s needs far above hers, even when battling numerous severe cancers. She loved to read, travel, dine out, pay me compliments on my cooking, ride on the back of my Harley or in a hopped-up Ford, Chevy or Mopar. She also painted in oils and watercolors and liked to draw in pencil, and was quite good, but she would never admit it. I will never forget her total support of all I wanted to do in my life. Stephanie was an amazing lady, my Army wife, my best friend, and my first and only true love, and now she is an angel. I already miss her tremendously; my life will never be the same â??Without Youâ?. And, as Brian Wilson sang â??God Only Knowsâ? how much I love you! A Memorial Service for Stephanie will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 13028 Harrowgate Road, Chester, Virginia on January 3, 2008 at 7:00 PM. Please send donations to Grace Lutheran Church in lieu of flowers. The family is being served by the Chesterfield Chapel of J.T.
