Stephen Ashby Wright

Stephen Ashby Wright., 58, of S. Chesterfield, died Thursday, September 29, 2016. Born and raised in Petersburg, VA. Stephen was a member of the Southside Emergency Crew and also of Phillips Volunteer Fire Dept. He is preceded in death by his parents Edward P. and Dorothy A. Wright. He is survived by his brothers, Edward G. Wright, Jack Wright and his wife, Crystal; two sisters, Judith D. Browning, Patricia P. Smith and her husband, Billy; seven nieces and nephews; close friend, Thomas T. Nunnelly; and a large extended family. A service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 3, 2016 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Blandford Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Southside Emergency Crew, P.O. Box 1808 Petersburg, VA 23805.
