Steven Mcallister

Steven Thomas McAllister, 60, of Dinwiddie County, VA passed away on Friday, June 23, 2023. Born in Petersburg, VA he was the son of the late, John Wallace McAllister; and was also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Hammie and Rebecca McAllister; and his maternal grandparents, Johnny and Mary Traylor. Steven was a kind hearted individual who either liked you or he didn't and would never forget anything. He loved all animals especially his cat. Stevie enjoyed going out to eat, spending time at family reunions and playing with action figures. He deeply loved his mother and father and all other people who were lucky enough to be his family. Stevie is survived by his mother, Frances LaVern McAllister; and numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. The family would like to thank Dinwiddie Social Services, James River Social Services and Southside Hospice for the love and care shown towards Steven. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June, 28, 2023 at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George, VA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Namozine Volunteer Fire Department, 3313 Pelham St., North Dinwiddie, VA 23803 in memory of Steven T. McAllister.
