Stuart Edison Burton

Stuart Edison Burton, 79, of Chester, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2014. He was the son of the late, William Oscar and Realie Miles Burton. Mr. Burton was retired from the Richmond Public School System after thirty-two years of service. He was also a member of the Colonial Heights Optimist Club. Mr. Burton served as a volunteer Fireman and Auxiliary Policeman for Chester. He is survived by his wife, Lorena Sadler Burton; daughter, Deborah Linkous and her husband, Dennis; grandson, Durelle Crymes; two great-grandsons, Dakota Crymes and Coytee Jo Crymes; and numerous extended family and friends. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 21, 2014 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Friday following the visitation. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Condolences may be registered online at www.jtmorriss.com .
