Stuart Layne Butler, 72, of North Chesterfield, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2013. He worked for Chesterfield County. Mr. Butler was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle. Mr. Butler liked to watch NASCAR and was a fan of Jeff Gordon. He was a man of great faith and was a proud Deacon at his local church. Mr. Butler is preceded in death by his parents, Horace Rueben Butler Sr. and Martha Hazley Butler; brother, Horace Rueben Butler Jr.; and a sister, Estell Maiden. He is survived by his soul mate, Mary Morgan Butler; brother, Tommy Butler; sister, Francis Weeks; nephews, Danny, Bobby, Richard, and David Butler; and his beloved family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 19, 2013 at Dale Memorial Park, with the Rev. Richard Butler officiating.
