Suncha Yang Cox, age 72, of Petersburg, VA, passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2009. She was born in Kwang Won Do, South Korea, and later moved to the U. S. Mrs. Cox was a member of the Korean Baptist Church of Christ, Prince George, VA. She was an avid gardener and a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Cox is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Lee R. Cox; a son, Sung H. Cox of Petersburg; a daughter, Hebe Zweedijk and husband Frank, of Middelburg, Holland; four grandchildren, Chadd R. Cox and Bo, Julian and Normy Zweedijk; and a niece, Oak Soon Yang of Kwan Won Do, South Korea. The family will receive friends at the J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home of Hopewell, VA on Friday, January 16, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, January 17, 2009 at 1 p.m. in the First Baptist Korean Church, 3030 River Rd. Prince George, VA 23875. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester.
